Upstairs, the master bedroom suite, dubbed “Frida”, has a comfortable king-sized bed (or twins, as you prefer). Outside the bedroom is a small roofdeck terrace with chaise for relaxing. Downstairs, tucked into a corner off the living room is “Diego”, the single bedroom and bath.

A spacious studio just across the private courtyard, has its own entrance and can be used for an artist’s studio while also doubling as a great party room – or a sleeping space for extra occasional guests.

A delightful plus is the convenience of Casa des Artistes’ location, just 4 blocks from el Jardin. Its an easy walk to San Miguel’s famous restaurants, its shops, the historic Bellas Artes, an ex-convent and monastery that’s now an art and music center. Casa des Artistes is far enough from el centro to be tranquil, yet close enough to make shopping and exploring the history, architecture, art galleries and fascinating folk art boutiques of San Miguel every day excursions.

Casa des Aristes is available for rental throughout the year.
