Delightfully light and bright, Casa Linda del Parque, located in a secure gated community close to the Instituto and el centro, has the feeling of an enchanted stone cottage – happy, romantic, warm and welcoming. Your first impression may be – “I’m home!” –a very blissful feeling indeed for travelers from anywhere. The rooms in the house face the patio and the raised, plant filled garden above it. The green of the grass invites lounging, relaxing, watching the birds flutter among the flowers. Comfortable furniture abounds – and for dining al fresco, or card or game playing, the patio has a round table with gaily striped cushioned chairs.

As you enter the house, there’s a powder room on the right and a few steps down a hall, the kitchen is on the left, with a view out to the front gardens of this beautifully landscaped complex. The kitchen is bright and sunny and fully equipped with everything you need for ease of meal preparation, plus a purified water outlet so there’s no need to bother with heavy bottled water carafons . The dining room is immediately adjacent and overlooks the living room. Splendid for entertaining, the wooden round dining table seats 8 easily.

A couple of steps down takes you into the welcoming living room with its comfortable, upholstered furniture, lovely cantera fireplace and a tv/entertainment center with dvd, and book and music and movie library. The living room opens onto the patio and garden with its assortment of well-cared for flowering plants and shrubs.

To the right of the dining room a stairway leads to the second floor bedroom with bath ensuite containing a tub and shower. A classic shell design sculpted into the wall is the headboard for the queen sized bed with flower-strewn fabric on the duvet and pillows. A second bedroom, also queen sized with adjoining tiled bath and shower completes the second floor. Up on the 3rd level there is another bedroom, (used as an art studio by the owner), which can accommodate an occasional guest if the rental is long term (one month or more). This floor opens onto the covered upper terrace with its casual furniture and view of the gardens and houses within this very nicely maintained, secure gated community. For the comfort of guests, this is a non-smoking property. Children are welcome; small pets will be considered.
