Newly-created in the last year by San Miguel stone masons who have practiced their craft for the last 400 years, and encouraged by the artistry of the 19th-century Spanish architect, Antoni Gaudi, Casa Soleada ("Sunny House") is a inspiration of flowing stone curves, eloquent handcrafted woodwork and soaring floor-to-ceiling windows. Only a 5-minute walk from the library and a ten-minute, level walk from the central Jardin, it is ideally located for you to enjoy all the delights of San Miguel.

The covered garage (with washer and drier) and the front entryway, seal the two-story living quarters off from a street. The first soaring archway puts you into the comfortable outside sitting room, just a few steps away from the large master kingsized bedroom with 12-foot ceilings, draped windows, and radiant heating on the floors. It looks out on the colorful garden and the tinkling little water fall

The marble master bathroom, with tub, separate shower and two sinks, had a private toilet room as well. Across the garden are two more guest handsome bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and their own lovely views into the garden. Almost all of the second floor is a living/dining/kitchen "great room" is facing south and west to make the best use of the sun in the winter time, but it is shaded in the summer time...

There's a little terrace with table and chairs for dining alfresco. Paintings and statues of well-known San Miguel artists and handmade furniture and fabrics of local craftsmen set off the striking decor. The dining table and chairs make an elegant but cozy place to take your meals. The kitchen cabinets and drawers further enhance the Gaudi theme by their handcrafted circles and curves.

The kitchen is furnished with a dishwasher, a pantry, new gas stove and new refrigerator/freezer, and the usual small appliances. The study with two built-in couches, book shelves and a fireplace, large window and a door to a balcony, also has a desk with Internet connection for your laptop and a handy guest bath.

There is a maid 2 mornings a week and the gardener 3 times a week. An allowance of US $50 a week and $175 a month for gas and electric will be supplemented by the tenants' phone/damage deposit, if necessary. Smoking only on terrace or outside in the garden. No children under the age of 15 years old.
