This art-filled house is vibrant with the colors of Mexico and furnished comfortably with traditional upholstered furniture and antiques. The master suite is located on the first, or entry level floor. There is a large sitting room with twin couches which can take an overflow of guests. The master bedroom suite has a king sized bed and faces onto the small garden with fountain at the back of the house. The bath which adjoins the master bedroom has a double Jacuzzi plus a stall shower, beautifully tiled. There is a walk-in closet off the bathroom. Tucked away on this floor is an office, and another full bath with shower.

Up a graceful flight of steps you enter the main living quarters –an open floor plan contains the living room, dining, kitchen and library wall. A whimsical tree-shaped fireplace decorates the far wall and can be seen from the dining and living room. The kitchen with its green and blue Mexican tiled countertops has everything you’ll need for ease of meal preparation, for yourselves and for guests. The dining table seats 8 to 10 comfortably, and there is service for 10. Off the living room to the left is the queen-sized guest bedroom with views of San Miguel’s famous skyline and la Parroquia. The study, located behind the library wall, has a double bed decorated as a large sized couch and contains a desk for laptop or letter writing. Off the study is a small balcony, and from there a spiral staircase takes you to the roof deck with a plant filled covered area and table and chairs, two chaise lounges for sunning, and a Weber barbecue. The view from the roof deck is of the blue foothills of the mountains which surround San Miguel on one side, and the city skyline on the other side.

Casa Suenos is located in the colonia known as La Lejona and is about 12 to 15 blocks from town center. It is in a very quiet residential area. A bus stop is 2 blocks away, and taxis at 25 p. anywhere in town are prevalent. In addition a VW “bug” can be made available for your use. Our housekeeper, Rosa, is a smiling, hard-working presence keeping the house clean and sparkling for you, 4x per week. She takes care of household laundry. A second helper, Lupe, comes once a week to iron. There is a gardener once a week to care for the plants in the entry and back garden and on the roofdeck.
